Hi all,

Good evening. I started studying power flow problems and finding it very difficult and confusing. I was really good at those methods when i was back in school around 12 years ago. now everything looks greek to me. i just have one question. Do i need to do a lot of problems on Newton-Raphson and Gauss-siedal methods? what are the experts suggestions? i have not seen any problem related to these on the NCEES sample exam.

Thank you,

Panna

My opinion: The test questions are designed so they can be answered in an average of six minutes. They aren't going to require performance of the actual iterations due to the time required to do them by hand. So long as you know how they work and what they're used for, you should be fine.
