Hi

I am working on problem 129 from NCEES book. There are 4 wires in the conduit ( 3 phase 4 wires). In the calculation the fourth wire is compeletly ignored and the problem is solved as a 3 phase 3 wire problem. Does any one know why? Thanks

The problem states that the load is balanced. If the load is balanced, the current in the neutral (4th wire) will be 0.
