The Technical Support Engineer position will be based at the Scunthorpe site tasked with developing customer relationships, assisting with product development and on site technical competence including quality improvements and manufacturing practice. The successful candidate will have an autonomous, 'hands-on' and forward facing role and will be expected to bring new ideas into this exciting business.
Working closely with the sales department the Technical Support Engineer will drive meetings and trials both on site at Mondi as well as remotely with the customer. The successful incumbent will have a broad remit with day to day activities ranging from customer developments, technical enquiries & problem solving, quality & CI projects and liaising with R&D teams on new projects. Mondi's customer base ranges across the UK, Europe & Scandinavia and the Technical Support Engineer will have responsibility for their own diary. It is essential the successful candidate can build key relationships with sales, R & D and operations colleagues as control of communication flow is imperative. The role will provide field support for the sales function which includes management of bespoke technical enquiries from specification to delivery. This is a key role in understanding customer's needs and preferences whilst obtaining any necessary technical input and stakeholder sign-off.

• Full driving license and ability to travel nationally / internationally
