Who else got sucked into watching this show on discovery channel?

http://dsc.discovery.com/tv-shows/shark-week/videos/is-megalodon-still-alive.htm

Summer Sunday TV wasteland, this followed a reasonably well made show about great white sharks and how they are tracking thier habits with dorsal fin recognition and tagging. Then they run this piece of crap. After 5 minutes I was waiting to see the disclaimers which were flashed across the screen for half a scond in tiny font at the very end and weren't even full disclaimers. Here is a nice recap, I like the comments:

I'm really disappointed in Discovery Channel for pulling this stunt, I'm not sure that I can keep watching Naked and Afraid after this.

I've pretty much given up on DSC and History channels.

TruTV is more realistic, which says a lot, none of it good, about the state of these channels.

we went looking for megladon shark teeth last year at Venice Beach, FL, we found some nice pieces.. those shark teeth are bigger than my hand so I hope they are not still around!

but yeah that show was hard to watch...

These channels are broadcasting more fiction and reality shows, and have lost their core.

Next thing we will know, The Travel Channel will be broadcasting reallity shows of people touring decaying crime ridden cities such as Detroit.

I hate Discovery's Shark Week programming. They had enough factual material to have 1 shark week, and this about the 10th one they've had. They forced Mythbusters and Dirty Jobs to produce special episodes to fill time during the week a few years ago, and now they have resorted to producing fake documentaries and presenting them as fact.

this is they outfit we dove with last year, the videos are pretty cool..

we found tons of little shark teeth, but none of the big ones they show in the videos on the page, the water was really really murkey the day we went..
