Come see what companies your state gave money, loans, tax breaks, and/or property to!

Intesting information.

I wish the states didn't do this, but the horse left the stable years ago on that issue.

It is a neat trick the corporations pulled off. Kind of like getting a bunch of prostitues competing against each other for your budness.

There was a huge deal about IKEA coming to Colorado because of such deals. The city where they ultimately built has a building code that essentially prohibits the gawdaful monstrosity of a road sign, but they were willing to waive it because IKEA made it a deal-breaker and the city really wanted the tax revenue...

Wow!

Texas spends $759 per person! 51% of their entire budget on corporate giveaways.

That's quite a statement from a red state that believes in low taxes and free markets. I guess they are in the market of recruiting companies.

In contrast, MO gives away $16/capita and less than 1% of the budget.

On another issue. If TX govt spends approx $1400 per capita and there is no personal income tax; where does all that money come from? I really don't know.
