Lead Structural Engineer

This critical role within Aquaterra Energy is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a technical background and an entrepreneurial spirit, to get involved with a thriving and highly regarded business that has consistently produced results. The important part of this role is not only delivery of significant/complex work against defined project plans but taking being able to build a team around you and get involved in generating business from and within the Aberdeen market. The successful candidate will combine strong engineering skills with a gravitas that will allow them to build relationships with and influence clients.
Roles and responsibilities:
• Build & develop a structural engineering team in Aberdeen
• Provide Support to existing projects
• Be a part of the senior team involved in winning new business
Who we're looking for
Candidates should fulfil the following criteria:
• Relevant Engineering Degree
• Must possess strong technical capabilities within structural engineering ideally within the oil and gas industry
• Have dealt with large scale projects and designs
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well with internal and external groups
• Relish the challenge of being a key part of building a business
• Ability to bring existing projects/clients to the business
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a multi-task, high paced environment and is self-directed and able to prioritise.
