[SIZE=10pt]Your main responsibilities as a Lead Engineer – Data Links will involve: [/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Ensuring that the design of systems/ subsystems of products are safe[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Guaranteeing the quality and fitness for purpose of aspects of product designs with appropriate trade-off between operational performance, affordability and product[/SIZE] [SIZE=10pt][/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Supporting the product safety subject matter expert (SME) in carrying out the product safety engineering tasks required to support the design authorities for multiple projects[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Overseeing the activities of engineering staff to ensure product certification and release at the required standard [/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Confirming that records of all design and technical decisions are retained including a record of the relevant Technical Authorities involved[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Ensuring appropriately tailored application of Corporate, MAI, Line of Business and Discipline policies and standard processes[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Identifying strategic technology and process development needs of projects[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Supporting the wider MAI Engineering community through involvement in developing policy and standardised processes, thus sharing good practice. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]Your skills and qualifications as a Lead Engineer – Data Links [/SIZE][SIZE=10pt]:[/SIZE][SIZE=10pt][/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Strong knowledge of Tactical Data Links in particular Link 11 and 16[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]This shall encompass both the physical and operational aspects of the data links and the CAA mandates on data link usage in civilian airspace[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]Detailed knowledge of the NATO and US Tactical Data Link standards i.e. Mil Standard 5511, 16 and 22 and 6016C/D etc.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]Strong understanding of the development lifecycle for software from design through to delivery[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt] [/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Experience with the development of product and product based programme deliverables[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]Experience of mentoring junior staff and leading sizeable teams[/SIZE]
