Impedance assumption

If given impedance in ohms, is it assumed to be per phase or all 3 phases combined? Came up at work and can't find the info anywhere

 
Unless stated that way, I would say no, not combined. Just like with anything 3-phase, quantities given are generally on a per-phase basis. Take for instance a 3-phase motor drawing 35 amps. That would be 35 amps per phase assuming the system was balanced.

 
Agreed with knight1fox3. Another example I think of it is the voltage drop calculation. The impedance we consider is per phase.

 
Thats what I figured but just wanted to check since all my references spell iy oit as per phase but in this case it isnt specified
