Here's a timeline from test to receiving my EIT license in the mail. Appears things are moving pretty quickly right now.

8/25: Test taken

9/3: Results posted on NCEES site

9/5: Results posted on Continental site

9/10: Official results received via mail from Continental

9/11: Application and fee mailed to IDFPR

9/18: License issued (posted online)

9/22: License received via mail

While it's a great improvement, it's still one month between test completion and receiving the license.

If I were NCEES, I'd score the test right there and then. Heck, have a printer for the cursory hardcopy congratulating you. Technically, you could score the test and walk out the door with a hardcopy license in 5 minutes.

True, but it would require two processes - one for those who have already graduated and one for those who haven't yet.
