I'm taking the CA Seismic test for the 1st time. The CA board recommends the IBC 2006 Structural/Seismic Design Manuals Vol. 1 & 2 as well as other materials.

Has anyone who has taken the test used any of these materials? Were they helpful? Would you recommend them?

Are there any other study materials that you would recommend?

I have everything offered by PPI for this test, do you think that is adequate?

I live in CO and will be flying in for the test so I'm hoping to only have to take it once.

Thanks in advance.

Hossmartin.

If anything, you will only need volume 1 for the 2.5 hour seismic exam.

Also, you'll have to use the 2010 CBC (2009 IBC) for the exam and not the 2007 CBC (2006 IBC). There are some minor differences between them.
