I am currently working through some Hazen Willians problems and am having some difficulty choosing the correct HZ coefficient ©. I use CERM 11, App 17.A as my primary reference. I typically use the “design” column value unless the problem states that it is a new or clean pipe in which case I use the “clean” column value.
This isn’t always the case in the solution and some solutions have contradicted others.
Any tips or tricks for choosing the correct C value?
I have taken the exam a few times now and I can’t remember if the C value is always given.
