I was in charge of the sweet potatoes this year. We just do the boil, peel, slice, top with butter and brown sugar method. No casserole, no mashing, easy, right? I panicked when I got to the "peel" section and there was no orange underneath the skin. I called to my husband to smell the potatoes, convinced I had purchased regular potatoes. I had managed, "Why do they ever let me prepare food?!" when he agreed and then told me they were yams. All was okay.

I'm totally The Prep.

I can't remember if I posted yet, I half cheated this year. My sister brought one of the green bean casseroles and peanut butter pie. I did sausage and cornbread dressing, candied yams, mashed taters, ham, and appetizers. Cheated because I got a fully cooked bird this year (still cooks for 4 hours but no basting requirement), premade pies, rolls, deviled eggs and veggie tray. Only so much one person can do was my attitude this year.
