I passed both the SE I and SE II in April on my first try. Each of the following books was a huge help in passing and are in good condition...
AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Spec 4th Edition 2007 with 2008 Interm Revisions
this is the AASTHO edition required for both the SE and the PE - civil
