With an ambitious business growth plan in North America, our client is seeking to recruit a commercially astute executive with experiences in both manufacturing and business operations to run the groups business across Canada and the United States
Job Description
Directly reporting to the Group Chairman and CEO, you will have full P&L responsibility and oversee/manage the overall business including operations, product development, quality assurance, supply chain, engineering and maintenance, and commercial activities. You will be responsible for formulating production plans and programs in line with the overall business strategy and ensure a cost-effective and appropriate operating model across operations functions. You will ensure a value-added approach of key performance indicators, business metrics and external bench-marking data to be implemented and maintained. As the key member of the senior management team, you will advise the Board of Directors on the strategy, goals, budgets and accomplishment aligned with the Group's overall vision and business strategy. You will develop, formulate and implement the strategic development plan covering operations and production as well as sales and marketing to boost profits and efficiency and to achieve the annual revenue growth. You should play a leading role in developing and maintaining long-term relationships with existing and new potential customers/key accounts and to position the company as a market leader across North America. As Managing Director of the company, you will also be accountable for establishing and maintaining a suitable staffing structures and performance monitoring framework to ensure excellent standards in the delivery of the company program and results.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be a degree holder in Manufacturing, Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related disciplines; a Master's or MBA degree preferred. You will have at least 20 years working experiences in production and commercial management in a manufacturing corporation and be familiar with a B2B business model and have a proven track record working with and handling key accounts and distributors on a regional basis. Experience running a high volume production commodity product in process industries as well as previous experience in a GM/MD/CEO position is highly desired and preferred. As a self-motivated and driven business leader, you will enjoy challenges, be commercially astute, passionate and entrepreneurial. Strong leadership and influencing skills, a results oriented approach as well as the ability to lead and manage a wide range of strategic projects while maintaining a practical "hands-on" approach are key success factors to this role. Utmost integrity and proven ethical standards is a must.
