Did anyone solve the above stated problem using the equations from the CERM manual? I don't have a copy of Metcalf & Eddy to use during the exam. I was not able to follow there solution or find equations to solve this problem correctly.

I am taking the Civil/WR portion for the exam. Would a question on this nature be fair game on the exam (morning or WR depth)

I have CERM 8th Edition.

If you combine Eq. 30.23 Yobs = Y/(1+kd*thetac) and Eq. 30.24 Px = Yobs*Qo*(So - S)/1,000 g/kg then you will have the same equation provided in Metcalf & Eddy. IMPORTANT NOTE: the equation is derived in order to present the answer in kg/day - so each term in the equation has specific units.

If you are taking Civil/WR Detph - the specifications for the exam indicate this type of Wastewater problem would most likely not be on the exam.
