Did anyone have Testmaster's Traffic/Transportation Review Problems. The problem #19 giving me a hard time. This problem is asking to find Desirable Cycle length time for the given intersection. I do have a solution, but can't understand how Sum of Critical Lane Volume was found. I did some research, but can't make the same answer.

Help !!!!!!!!

Hey Tanya,
Can you post the link to the page or post the problem. Do you have Goswami's All in One PE guide? I do recall his book discussing a section on lane groups and critical lane groups. Check out this site as well. Some good info and examples.

that is not exactly what I am looking for. Here it is. See attachment
I guess, i had to post the question on internet to understand the answer myself.

Is 2100 vph /3 lanes = 700 vph (highest volume per lane in one phase)

and 600 vph-the highest volume per lane in the other phase

took me a while to figure it :screwloose:
