I'm in nj and haven't had one of these storms at least in my adult life. Where I'm at there's just trees and wires down and the residents are all up in arms over loss of power. I went with my fire company to help out a shore fire department over the weekend and found their town basically a...
I think I spent around $50-75. If you think about it though... what's $200 in the grand scheme of things involved with that license? That's one damn expensive piece of paper we have.
well that sucks... a lame standard pencil...
good call on the decoy pencil... mine's just carelessly hanging out on by book shelf and will probably be stolen. I'll have to invest in either the fireproof safe or a security team.
Good question... I have the same one. The board's website and documentation they've sent me says nothing... And I've been dreading calling Newark about it since they had no record of me passing the FE even after I passed the PE. Please post if you find a definitive answer!
Indeed they do. Extremely hard to imagine that. I was responding out to two separate fatal motor vehicle accidents this past week, both of which were in the area where my wife and my family drive... I was about to tear up just thinking about the possibility it was my wife or anyone in my family.
Just put together the Tow Mater power quad that my sister ordered for MiniFF's 2 year birthday tomorrow. I'm fearing that i went on our last walk him with on his trike tonight... He's gonna wanna go on his electric truck for awhile and have nothing to do with his bike.

I went through the induction, wore the ring for a very short while afterwards. I sort of forgot about it until I read this thread actually... and now that I think of it, I can't remember ever seeing another engineer wearing the ring
I'm in the has-an-almost 2year-old-club, so don't have much time for it... but when there is free time- mtn biking, kayaking, rock climbing. I still make time for a little reading though. oh and drinking if that does in fact qualify as a hobby.
I went through the HCM, MUTCD and RSDG to familiarize myself with where everything was at. I also spent time working HCM related problems to make sure I could get through any analysis type problems
For myself, none of the above. Pretty much an unhealthy week at work. A few years ago I was on a kick with riding my bike to work, but between project meetings, child at daycare, more meetings, the occaisional side work in the evening.... that kick just ended.
I used the CERM 10th ed practice problems. and the 2008 NCEES practice problems. The CERM problems were extremely frustrating and had me scared going into the test, but I found that they had forced me to (over?) prepare for the test. I saved the NCEES problems for the week before the test to...
