Thanks VTEnviro, I didn't realize it would be that fast.

How long until NCEES releases percent passing statistics?

Just wondering if anyone knows how long it generally takes NCEES to publish what percentage of test takers passed the PE exam in April in relation to the respective depth sections?

    PE Civil Fail Scores

I really don't understand why people would want to know the cut score... If you're score was in the mid to high 60% you can reasonably assume you were close, and if you were lower you know you weren't all that close. Even if you could find out for sure that you were one question away from...

Would you want to know your raw test score up front?

NWARLZ, if the process you described is correct, it amazes me that new questions aren't reviewed for accuracy or proper wording of the problem statement BEFORE the exam. I'm not saying you aren't correct, as I've heard the same thing from other people... Isn't there a committee of PE's of some...

    Geotech vs Transportation vs Construction?

Wow. I just checked out NCEES's SE Exam info, and it states 43% passing rate for the SE vertical exam, and 25% passing rate for the SE lateral exam, and that's for first time takers, repeaters is even lower. That sounds just brutal. Props to all you SE guys. And all of you CA examinees as well...

Would you want to know your raw test score up front?

Thanks snickerd3. I wish my state did that! If I do pass, I'm always going to wonder if I crushed it or if I didn't do quite as well as I thought I did.

Would you want to know your raw test score up front?

I thought if you pass they don't tell you at all how you did other than that you passed. Is this not true? Do they give you your percentage score? *Sorry about the horrible spelling, I use my phone to check this site out often, and my auto-correct is horrible and I often don't catch it on that...

    Geotech vs Transportation vs Construction?

Actually I don't think a PE license is required to pursue an SE. At the PE Exam last week I was talking to someone who was going for his SE1 license, (the exams were being given at the same time, just different rooms and our lunch break was the same... Anyway he said he hadn't gone after his PE...

    Construction Depth

I didn't think it was too bad, although there were a couple of questions I wouldn't have known how to do if I had studied a year before the exam. I thought most of them were straight forward, although the few that I didn't have a clue on are all I can think about. And now I've started to second...

How did you do on April 2013 PE Civil Exam. (AM & PM)

I thought the AM portion was really easy. I think I was fortunate in the sense that question types that worried me while studying didn't show up on the exam, so there were only a couple I was unsure of, but I was done in 2.5 hours and used the rest of the time double checking my calculations and...

Feel good about how you did on the exam?

I'm amazed at the fact those stages so closely resemble the stages I've gone through the last few days. I think I've gone through all the stages in super drive and am now stuck in stage four since the only questions I can recall vividly are the ones I wasn't sure on and now think I answered...

    Manning Equations

Thanks for the responses. Sorry it took me so long to reply, after reading the first response I kind of forgot to check in again. I understand all of the other concepts, just wish there were more equations that could be just moved around or sismplified to solve for a separate variable rather...

Concrete Mix Adjustments for Surface Water

It came from passpe.com's Construction Engineering for Civil PE License Practice Problems Book (By Dr. Mansour). The more I look at some of these questions, I think they have alot of errors in the concrete mix problems, as well as many other portions of this book. Now that I went and looked at...

Concrete Mix Adjustments for Surface Water

Given the attached information... If asked the volume of coarse aggregate for batch #3.... Wouldn't this be found by: WCA x (1+SSD Moisture Content) = 146 x (1+.008) = 147.168 (Adjusted SSD Weight) Volume = (147.168 lbs) / (62.4 x 2.65) = 0.89 CF. The answer in the book uses a different...

    Geotech Consolidation Question

Nevermind, I figured it out. Just read the problem wrong the first couple of times. I think I've officially become burnt out with studying for this exam.

    Geotech Consolidation Question

On the attached question, shouldn't "Assuming only vertical drainage" mean you should analyze the situation as if it is not two way drainage, and take the layer as the full length? The answer to this question in the book still took the layer and divided it by two assuming two way drainage. Can...
