    New York State

    It appears the state met last friday November 30th to discuss the exams (unless I misinterpretted the meeting agenda posted on the NYS Board of Professions website). Hopefully the results will come sooner than expected.

    Spin-up "push button" problems

    Are there actual problems like this on the exam? I'm not a fan of these practice problems as they seem to leave alot of information out (i.e the initial state of the relays or bulbs).

    Why do they ignore the phase angle in the solution? They just do 1.5 - 1.0 divided by 1.0. Shouldn't the phase angle affect the voltage regulation?
