    International Mechanical Code

Thanks for the tips. I have been tabbing things as I go. My wife took the PE a few years ago and recommended that I create a binder with the information that I’ve seen multiple times in the practice exams. An example is I have a page for friction flow in pipes. I’m finding that it is faster...

    International Mechanical Code

Thanks for the replies. I just don’t think that it is worth me purchasing an IMC for the test. I could be wrong, but I’ll live with it. I’m really starting to hate the ASHRAE books though. It seems like going from fundamentals 2005 to 2009 there were a lot of chapter changes. So when I’m...

Thanks for the information. I have copies of ASHRAE 55, 62.1 and 90.1. However we use a online version of the IMC, so I think that I'm just going to go without.

    NCEES 2001 Practice Exam

Two problems – The first problem is 532 in the MD Depth section. They state an equation from Shiley - Mechanical Engineer Design in the practice test pitch = L when I looked it up in my copy of Shiley they states L= 2*pitch. The second issue is in Problem 519. They give you a turbine...

Lindeburg Practice Test (Problem HVAC 76)

I’m hoping someone can help be find an equation used in the Lindeburg practice exam. (HVAC 76) The equation is To=A*Tair+(1-A)*Tr. I looked through my Ashrae books and MERM, but couldn't find it. I'm wondering if this is a standard equation? Also where I can determine what A is. Thanks for...

Thank you to everyone that posted a reply to my question! It looks like I'll be spending a little more time with my ASHRAE books than I first thought. Does anyone know where I can get a Psychometric Wheel? I've always used a chart because time usually isn't a factor like during the test...
