    Pedestrian LOS Problem

I would advise on having the HCM with you during the test. I belive that they are still using the "old" edition (check the required references on NCEES website for edition). Ask around - if your office doesn't have one, someone you work with might...I think anyone who has taken the PE within the...

    Soil Compaction Equipment Reference Table

I recently found this table (attached pdf) that summarizes compaction equipment and methods. Be warned, its from 1982, but if I would have found it prior to my exam, I would have taken it in....and it would have been useful to me. Another idea is to make your own chart/add on to this chart...

    P.Eng. in Canada

Yep - the books available from the APEGA website are the books I'm refering to that are available on Amazon. There aren't any sample exams that I'm aware of. I think that re-studying the FE ethics problems will help you out tho - and if you took a Civil Engineering Law class (Tort Law) that'll...

    Where's my wall cert? (WA)

Update - my wall cert arrived on friday/6/29. It looks great! I noticed that all of the signautures on it are genuine so that was a nice touch. Can't wait to get it framed! I've checked frames out and a good place to go is Michaels. Aaron Brothers is also a good option.

    P.Eng. in Canada

Hey Adeeel - I personally haven't taken the exam, but I have many friends who have. As far as I know, there aren't any study material/reference books out there besides the texts that are listed with the exam information. Don't over think it or make it too hard for your self. Its an exam about...

I passed, now where to get PE rubber stamp?

My office ordered me a stamp thru engineerseals.com....it arrived yesterday (I think it only took a few days) and it looks really good! I have to say - it was MUCH more exciting to see my rubber stamp seal than it was to see my electronic seal. I had to "practice" stamping....I think I stamped...

Online Courses Worth It for Civil PE?

I very much agree w/the previous response -a review course was definitely worth the $ to me (I also happened to take the School of PE course). It was helpful for a few reasons: 1) It "forced" me to study and kept me focused and on track 2) The review material is condensed and was extremely...

    Where's my wall cert? (WA)

Does anyone in WA (or any other state that issues wall certificates) have an idea of when we can expect our wall certificates? I recieved my wallet card and green DOL permit last week, but I sure would like to have that wall certificate framed and up on my wall....

My study tools (Passed April 2012 Civil Construction)

Thanks Ted. I'll add to your thread with my study tools (very similar to yours) I passed Civil - Transportation on the 3rd attempt. On my 2nd attempt I was VERY close to passing. Here was my passing strategy: 1) I identified my weaknesses (which were structural and construction) and began with...

    7 YEARS......passed, and never looking back :-)

    IIT/School of PE/ASCE/ppi

I agree with you both about the water resources class. I also thought that it was slghtly misleading when the instructor would say "this is representative of an AM problem" and he would be referring to a one or two line simple calculation problem that required almost no thought. He'd also do...

ppi exam cafe - how does it work?

You can print the questions 1 page at a time. Its a little tedious, but it can be done!

    IIT/School of PE/ASCE/ppi

I also signed up for School of PE onlline, and so far I really like it. I will agree with Kenny911 though that it really kills your weekend....but it definitely forces you to study. I've spent all week studying water resources in prep for our "classes" this weekend. I liked the construction...

FYI Civil - Transportation. Study Schedule

miloc- Thanks for posting your Gantt Chart - I love it! Its tough going back and covering everything, but if you have the time then I think its well worth it. I also failed w/a 54/80 and this time 'round I am spending A LOT more time studying and really going back to the fundamentals. :-) Good...
