The ASME DVD's are terrible. Don't waste your money. I did get valuable information from the PPI CD's. They give you hints for the refrigeration process. They also simplify some things.
I followed the schedule in MERM. You don't need as much time as they give you for each chapter. Also, don't waste your time reading each chapter in depth. I wasted so much time reading and trying to understand. Skim the chapter and do the problems.
I would agree with what you have listed. I took HVAC depth in April and thought it was harder than the 2001 & 2008 Sample exams, but not as hard as SMS or Lindeburg.
Good luck!
What are you doing within these 15 hours on Chapter 17? When I began studying I spent WAY too much time trying to read and review the theory. Just do problems. If you are having issues with the problems go back and review the trouble areas in the book.
I thought someone mentioned that in our packet would come the paperwork to have NCEES have all your information in case you want to be licensed in other states. It didn't come in mine. Does anyone know how to do this
Thanks!
When I search my name it comes up eligible for exam and when I search by SSN, FBPE, and name it states waiting for score. Can they still be waiting for scores after 2 weeks?
She said they just mail it, no additional fees. She said it was more like 6 weeks, not the 4 I had said before. So, I'm assuming middle of July we should have our numbers and certificates. YAY!
One of my friends that took it in October said it was only like 4 weeks. When I look on the website it still says waiting for score. Does everyone's say that still? I would think they would have scores by now.
I have all the books I used for sale on Ebay.
The best book I had was the Lindeburg Engineering Unit Conversions. It saved me alot of time becuase it has direct conversions.
I also thought the 2001 and 2008 Sample Exams were very helpful. Much more than the Sample Problems in Merm.
You also...
Everyone I spoke with told me the sample exams were right on. I used the 2001 nad 2008 sample exams as a guide and I thought the PE was much, much harder!
I am 100% sure I did not pass. I'm going to take a break for a few weeks and then back to the books!
What are you putting your exam kits in? A ziploc bag? On the aothorivation sheet it doesn't mention anything not allowed for the PE. It just states that the FE must have items packed in clear bags. Are backpacks allowed?
