    California!

Well I'm not a structural engineer, so I don't design buildings and passing this test is not an indicator of how good of an engineer someone is. I always had a problem with time, I can solve the problems, just not fast enough. I am a water resource engineer, however, water resources is such a...

PASSED!!!!!! OMG!!!!! PRAISE JESUS!!!! I have taken this test SO MANY TIMES...I was ready to give up a few times. Everybody who did not pass, don't give up. I believe this is time number 9 for me...I have lost count. The race is not given to the swift or the strong, but to those who endure to...

OH....MY....GOD....what a frikkn hot mess this stupid test was. First of all, even if everyone at the testing center is not taking the same test, everyone should go in at the same time and sit down, SHUT UP and take whatever test it is you are there to take. Um, no...I start my test, and for at...

    Highest Civil-Geotech Failing Score?

I found most of the qualitative afternoon questions in the Das books. Some of the harder calculations questions, I got from my Testmasters and School of PE notes. I got my results on Friday but haven't looked yet because I'm in California and due to the huge Surveying test debacle, our Survey...

Civil Surveying Exam- June 2nd to 9th

I'm interested in the logistics of the test. Do they give you a pencil and scratch paper? Are all the questions on the computer? Or do you just have to answer on the computer? I read that you cannot bring a scale, is this true? Can anyone please comment on these things? Thank you.

    Highest Civil-Geotech Failing Score?

I don't see many people who took Civil-Geotech posting their scores. The highest failing score I've seen so far is 49/80. Did anyone get more than this and fail?? Please post XX/80. Thanks!

April 2012 CA-Survey Exam cancelled statewide?

I was in San Diego and nobody had the correct exam. All I can say is WOW....I think some people are actually going to lose their jobs for this, even as State employees. This mistake has so many ramifications... the state of CA will not in any way, shape or form, be able to compensate us.

April 2012 CA-Survey Exam cancelled statewide?

So your exam had already started?? Everybody had the correct books in Visalia?? I did not believe the letter on the website that "random books had been checked for accuracy". I would think that ALL the tests would be printed at one time then be distributed to the different test sites.

Geotech Depth - Lateral Capacity of Piles

While I can't recall seeing any on the exam (multi-time test taker here), I am studying it this time because there is a problem in the NCEES practice exam on lateral capacity, #535. I'm actually struggling. Clearly I'm not good with piles. Any help from anyone would be most appreciated.

    Settlement

Why were the increase in vertical pressure terms ignored? Wouldn't the equation using these terms need to be used? Sc=(HcCc/1+e0)log(p'0+del'0/p'0)

    Six Minute Solns #11

In Problem 21, why are they using 8 feet instead of 8.5 ft for the depth from the water table to the bottom of the soil column? Isn't the total depth 16.5 ft?

    Six Minute Solns #100

    Water Recources/ Enviromental Afternoon

I have taken this test WAAAAYYYY too many times, and as one poster said the Water/Envi section has definitely gotten harder. Basically you are taking two depths instead of one (which is ridiculous). For NCCES to make a whole separate Construction module in the afternoon and combine Water/Envi is...
