    Water Resources vs Transportation Afternoon Exam

    i took the transportation afternoon session, and i absolutely would NOT recommend it for anybody who doesn't do transportation work. i really don't get why people think it's easier than the other disciplines, there's a TON of stuff you have to know how to do in order to pass the test.

    a list like this is good for getting to know the references, but don't rely on it during the test...on top of it being a drain on valuable time, you should know your references well enough by then so that you wont need to refer to a list to figure out where something is

    get ALL of the reference material and know ALL of them intimately. also get Chen's civil engineering manual, that helped me on a bunch of questions. and the CERM is a must have. the most important thing is dont memorize how to do practice problems, figure out how they're solved and why...

    yeah, from the sounds we can practice whatever type of engineering we want, but we're "expected" to practice in our field of knowledge. and yeah that last sentence is confusing.
