    "Unacceptable" vs. "Improvement Required"

My theory is that an improvement required is a problem where you get main portion of the weigheted problem correct, as you I agree with this assessment on the needs improvement part. I know on one problem in the afternoon I had the main portion correct, but had a brain fart on the rest. I did...

I did not feel confident in the bridge questions in the vertical or the lateral portion. I felt I did a lot better in the 1 vertical essay question which I had unacceptable...

Failed Vertical and Lateral Vertical 26/40 2 Acceptable, 1 Improvement Required and 1 Unacceptable: Lateral 22/40 1 Acceptable, 1 Improvement Required and 2 Unacceptable: Almost tempted to pay for a regrade for the Vertical Afternoon Portion if possible. Going to go one at a time next year..

    Post SE Exam results here...

Since the SE results were sent to the state boards on December 16th, figure I'd start an official thread if one has not been created yet. I'm sure results should be coming in by now. If you did not pass, then if you would be so kind to post your diagnostic. If you did pass then you deserve a...

    So how did it go?

Definately take your shoes off when taking this exam... Shoes smell worse when you've been squirming through them for 8 hours. I feel that the multiple choices on both days were harder than the essay portions. I design mostly steel and concrete structures but the wood, masonry and general...

    So how did it go?

I've taken the SEI and the Vertical and Lateral Exams twice. I did not like the overabundance of bridge questions either since I do not practice bridges. Aside from that thought I thought the exam was fair if you prepared correctly. The afternoon portions for buildings, vertical and lateral was...

    16 Hour SE Results

I will be on the repeat list as well. I hope that it is not 10% for repeat takers.... Because that is where the percent seems to be headed.

    Now what do you think?

Not everyone is a Civil Engineer, I am an Architetural engineer and cannont take the Civil PE until I have enough experience. I could take the AE exam but I do not feel that the exam covers my expertise in Structural. Therefore I am stuck taking the 16 hour SE Exam until I pass it...

    16 Hour SE Results

Just a quick tidbit, only 27% of those who took both the Vertical and Lateral Portion passed both sections. Its too bad they do give how many passed Vertical or Lateral separately. That sucks.

    SE Review Courses

I am a new poster from Nebraska. I have taken the Vertical and Lateral forces Kaplan classes. I agree with the persons assessment of the Kaplan vertical classes. For the Lateral forces the only bad instruction was the foundations. Some of the instructor may have been boring, but after taking...
