    PTOE exam?

I was approved and plan to sit for the PTOE exam in late October '12. I have read most of helpful info I could find on this site and have acquired the ITE Refresher Book. Anything else I need to look for or get? Any recent takers (March or June 2012) have any other tips on study approaches?

    PTOE exam?

I am planning to take it. I sent in my application for the October exam in early July, but have not received an approval letter to take it yet. Iv'e only gotten a letter telling me they received my application.

How representative are the NCEES practice materials of the actual exam difficulty?

I agree with ptatohed. I went through all of the references he mentioned first and then took the NCEES exam as a confidence booster (or serious wake up call) around 3 weeks-month out. I did well on it (Trans) and it gave me tons of confidence going in to the exam because it was much easier than...

Change my PM or stick with it?

I used transportation testmasters material, six minute solutions, NCEES practice test, Lindeberg practice test, and Lindeberg practice problems. All of the non curve problems were way less in depth than I thought they would be and a number of them were even theoretical. Also, Goswani's All In...

Change my PM or stick with it?

Mike, I took Construction my first attempt (Oct 2011) and got a 52/80 with a 28 in the AM and a 24 in the PM. Construction afternoon took me the whole time and after leaving that exam, I felt like i may have gotten 20/40 right if I was lucky...naturally i got 24 right. I did not feel good about...

    NCEES practice exam

I have the 2011 NCEES Sample Exam. For anyone who has both the 2008 and 2011 NCEES Sample Exams (specifically Transportation), are there that many different problems on the 2008 set from the 2011 set? If half of the problems are different than it is probably worth trying to find.

    References for the PM portion?

The two books by Ruwan Rajapkse: "Civil PE Professional Engineer Exam Construction Module" and "Civil PE Professional Engineer Exam Construction Module Practice Problems" are a good start. While each book is not laid out too well, they do cover the afternoon topics. NCEES has the book: "NCEES...

Are these books adquate for Civil PE in California

Looks like it is a brand new reference manual from PPI. I plan on getting it since there aren't many test resources for construction besides the Ruwan books, PPI sample problems and the NCEES Construction sample exam. Looks like it covers the depth topics and if it is at least setup like the...

    Six-Minute Solutions

I plan to take the Transportation Depth, so I may at least get the Six-Minute Solutions for that discipline just to have the extra problems to work. Badger, from your experience, do you think the Six-Min. solutions for Geotech would be worth getting just for help on the morning questions? Or...

    Six-Minute Solutions

I'm sure this topic has been brought up, but I couldn't find anything recent. How helpful are the Six-Minute Solutions for the disciplines? I have the Goswani All-In-One and the Lindeburg books (Sample Exam, Sample Questions & Answers, etc). Is it worth it to get the Six-Minute Solutions...

    Online Review Courses

Has anyone taken ASCE's Live PE Exam Review Course? Work is willing to pay for it and it is 12-2 hour modules on Tuesday and Thursdays over six weeks. I can't do a weekend one like School of PE. Just curious if it is worth work paying for.
