Alright...glad to see the pulse on this topic is healthy.
I will be able to find my needed references without EB forum; the PE community in MN is alive and well.
I would agree that handing out references to unknown chat room folks just for a back scratch is a poor idea at best. However I think...
It wasn't looking like there was any interest in the topic.
I think YaGoof might have a point that it doesn't need to be a reference from your home state for the NCEES records site or even in the same discipline.
Maybe I should recant the initial question I proposed of needing a PE reference...
In MN I was good for 4 exams. The 5th attempt(passing) I needed to provide a signature of a tutor(P.E.) or a receipt for a class showing that I was expanding my engineering knowledge in order to receive an ok to take the test. My advice, pass it as soon as you can.
Not sure if this is copacetic behavior for EB but I am hoping to track down a few Minnesota references for the NCEES records program. After reading some other topics it sounds like there are some other people in my shoes that aren't working with PE's on a regular basis and may be the only one in...
I would recommend following some of the previous posts on this site when searching for what to gather for exam resources. I hardly used the large EERM but did use the DORF electrical engineering reference book. The EERM seems to cover material like other textbooks might, giving you the theory...
Passed the Electrical/Computer exam on the 5th attempt!!! The first three fails were power emphasis and then I switched to my profession of Computer/Networks even though there are no classes for our kind.
Don't give up if you're staring at a failed exam letter. If you are where I was after the...
I'm happy to add that the 5th time is the charm. I passed the Electrical Computer exam. I have a plethora of material if anyone needs any tips or needs any help. Thanks to this website I was able to get the help to push me over the top.
WOO HOO!!!
I should have found that SWAT team and grabbed the results this morning. I just flew back from NC and all I the information I found was a crying baby, a window seat and some cookies.
Good luck to all of those waiting in the frozen tundra!
If we're going to get results in about 10 days there must be a select few that are already in the know. How long would you stand outside today in the single digit temps to get your results?
