Just got my letter. Passed the Civil Engineering PE!!!!! Letter was postmarked June 30th. They must have been dropped in the box on Sunday.

Just curious, who did you talk to that said results went out the 29th? I e-mailed the board and was told they went out the 26th? You must be right since it's taking so long.

Just thought I would let you know that I called the state board last Thursday, 6/19 and they said they haven't even received the results yet! I wonder if all the flooding has delayed things. Probably look at the end of this week at the earliest.

I took the geotech exam last fall and thought the exam was much harder than the 6 minute problems and "the other board" problems. I neglected seismic design (other than loking at the basics) thinking there would not be much of that. Big mistake! There were probably 3 or 4 seismic problems...

Good pont. I guess we're looking at approximately a straight 70% to pass.

I'm wondering if anyone knows whether cut scores vary state by state? Would a state board consider a lower cut score as opposed to the people who receive results straight from NCEES? I'm trying to figure out why my results need to go through my board (Iowa) first.

Does anyone know from previously taking the exam if the NCEES practice problems for the afternoon Geotech module is of the same complexity as the real thing? How does the Lindeburg sample exam and six minute problems compare? Thanks for your reply.

Does anybody know from previous experience taking the exam if the 6 minute solutions are harder or easier than the actual exam. Quite a few of those problems seem to go well over 6 minutes for me!

What do you mean by very different? Would you say the problems were harder, easier, or about the same as the 6 minute solutions?
