When I took the FE exam in 2006, I remember being told by people that wrong answers got a negative score. Now I don't think that's true for the FE exam. Did the scoring method change, or did people lie to me back then?

When I took the FE exam, I'm pretty sure I left all the questions I couldn't get to blank because that was better than getting one wrong. And somehow I passed.

I took it in 2002 and there was no penalty for wrong answers.
