I also wear a size 13 and did ski at Eldora this year, but I have both my feet?  Also story says they searched a 400' x 100' area after finding the foot? Wouldn't you think barney and andy would expand the search area just a tad?

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. - The severed, human foot found in a boot at Eldora Mountain Ski Resort last month can't be identified right now.

The Boulder County Coroner’s office says DNA results were not a match to the remains of the a missing man, Ryder Johnson. Johnson was reported missing in January and had ties to the resort.

The DNA also didn't match anyone in the National Institute of Justice’s National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) so a new John Doe entry was created, officials said.

The boot was found by an employee of the resort on June 1 while the employee was working in a clearing near the base of the mountain, Cmdr. Mike Wagner of the Boulder County Sheriff's Office stated in a news release.

The snow-style boot is a men's size 13 Rugged Outback boot, according to a statement issued by the sheriff's office on Thursday. The boot is for a left foot.

"Inside the boot was a black sock and human remains consisting of a foot and the lower leg bones," investigators stated.

Crews searched a 400-by-100 foot area around the boot and did not find any additional human remains, officials said.

Deputies noted that the boot was wet and weathered and had likely been concealed by the snow pack, which had only recently melted away.
