It's going to be a no from me, dawg, if it's $40. I'd pay $15 for the shirt or $20 with S&H.
Yeah same. But it's all gotta be a tri-blend cotton. I can't stand the heavy, stiff, unbreathable cotton shirts. I don't wear cotton that often tbh

...also, as an aside, I think I stopped drinking coffee is because my accent comes out really strong on that word and I feel awkward when I say it.  Ruins my office persona of not having a Long Islander accent.
Sometimes you gotta embrace your heritage.

I don't hide my Philly accent but I also have very few salient tells. I take a lot of pride in it but the parts that I naturally accentuate tend to be the non-salient aspects of the dialect.

I've been told the Long Island accent is the most hated accent and it's been baked up my pseudo-science: https://bigseventravel.com/2019/05/50-sexiest-accents-usa-ranked/

I've trained it out from a ton of singing and vocal exercises when opera career was a serious option, but it comes out when I talk to my mom (who has a really heavy LI accent) or when I start getting drunk or when I'm comfortable/with friends that I know won't tease me.  But there are two words that I can't change, it's almost as if my tongue/throat/whatever can't do it: coffee and water.

I'm a little disappointed FL stopped mailing out the certificates. Now they just allow you to download a PDF and print it. I was looking forward to the nice certificate they printed for my EI license.

As a life long New Englander, who has a mash of the Boston & Maine accents (especially when drunk or wicked pissed), I don't get how those 2 accents ended up in the Top 5.

So VT sends out the license, or at least they used to. They mailed my EIT to my college address. Which was a tiny on-campus mailbox. The mailroom put a package slip in my mailbox but when I went to pick it up, they said that they almost folded it up to fit into the mailbox. I was about to be so pissed if they did that.

My dad was one of them, so yes, within certain limitations, I do. 😁
My dad is a saxophone player.  Doesn't mean I'd trust him with a honky-tonk.  I think you trust your dad more than you trust the mail system *squinty eyes*

@LyceeFruit BOSTON IS SUPPOSEDLY SEXY BECAUSE OF THE KENNEDY'S BUT OTHERWISE IT'S A TRASH FIRE.  THERE.  I SAID IT.

Yes!  NYer hate rant again Boston is the tops!!!

Don’t mind me, just eating my “ayyyyyyggggs.”

Are you feeling agoraphobic yet?
I do feel twitchy at the lack of people around me.  Like, it makes me more nervous when I walk home at 3am because there is literally NOBODY around.  Not even cars!  Def makes me feel like it's the start of a horror film or something.

Also, like 3 guys almost had an aneurysm this morning because I got on the hospital shuttle and there were no seats so I had to stand and I refused to sit in any of the seats they offered.  I mean, it was literally like to subway.  nbd.

*shakes fist angrily in their direction*  Those damn movie stars!  Making those atrocious beings up in Boston palatable! How dare they!!!!!

@ChebyshevII PE My dad is a very skilled musician.  He still cracks up when I say things like, "Play that honky-tonk for me!" or "That is sounding so fine, add some more gratuitous grace notes for me!"

The technical term for that is called "code switching" everyone does it.

I occasionally start slipping some salient Philadelphia-English when I go home, or get very stressed.
