NY/CA board should be booted out !!! It is not about releasing the result but being transparent. I am sure they know when they are going to release the result. JUST GIVE US THE DATES AND WE WILL WAIT PATIENTLY!!!

I sent an email last week to the Evaluator 1 (last names A-G) and they never responded.

I sent the following email today. I'm sure I won't recieve a response, but...whatever.

What is the latest on the release of the exam results?

"Early January" means Jan 1 - Jan 10 (the first 10 days of the month). The board must not have meant Jan 1- 5, which leaves:

Thursday (6)

Friday (7)

Monday (10)

Will the results be available on one of these three days, or does the following post on the PELS website need to be updated?

The Board anticipates releasing all NCEES and State-Specific examination results for the EIT (FE), LSIT (FS), PE, and PLS examinations (with the exception of the California State-Specific Structural Engineer examination results) in early January 2011. The Board anticipates releasing California State-Specific Structural Engineer examination results by end of January 2011.

Steven,

Here is what we have posted: http://www.pels.ca.gov/applicants/oct10results.shtml

The California Board will approve release of the PE results for National exams simultaneously with the Board’s release of the PE results for the State PE exams.

For the national results, applicants will receive an email from NCEES instructing them to login to their NCEES account for the results. For the state results, the Board will be mailing the notices.

We anticipate that PE results for both national and state exams, with the exception of the state structural exam, will be released early this month in time for those applicants that failed the October 2010 exam to refile by January 21, 2011 for the April 2011 exams.

We anticipate that State Structural exam results will be released by the end of January.

Hey Ric,

I know everyone is probably asking but is there anyway to get a more specific time to expect the results then in early January? I know in the past re-filers typically get 2 weeks to refile by the deadline. Should we expect the results by jan 7th? Thanks in advance for your time and sorry for bugging you, I know you guys are busy

Sincerely,

Steven

Kind of bizarre that they would waste thier own time, and yours, by sending a reply that dosn't have anything to do with the question you asked. I guess they think your a dumb ass. Pretty insulting. What good is an email address if you just get junk mail in reply?

A better response to these questions would be: I'm sorry, but I have been directed not to give out any more information than what we have already been posted on the website.

Don't expect result soon from them. They posted on their web site to release results of OCt 2009 Jan 13 of 2010. They posted another notice on Jan 14 saying they are gonna release the results on 21st of Jan due to some internal problems.

looks like a copy paste response, or he may have a signature saved for PE result emails.

I just wonder all this time what the exact process is, and why it takes so long to get these results? NCEES got the results to CA Board in 8 weeks. I've read how NCEES analyses these tests, so I assume they send basically a set of numbers for each examinee. The Board selects the cut-off score, so basically assigns a pass or fail to each test taken, and gives out a diagnostic for each fail. With computers assisting all of this why does it take so long? CA has the most examinees, there are 10 other states waiting I think.

Would have been just as effective to say "yes, there was an exam in october" or "we will release them when we feel like it, still trying to figure out how many refile fees are necessary to fill budget gap"

Either they are stupid or lying. They could have no idea WTF is going on or maybe they feel powerful by being in control of the results and keeping everyone guessing. :wanker:

CA Board does not select the cut-off score or determine who passes or fails. Pass/Fail, cut-scores for the NCEES exam are same for all states. Of course, I'm only speeking about the 8hr Civil PE exam, not the state specifics.

I don't think he even read your e-mail but glanced at it, knowing it was asking about results and cut and pasted his response. He is the Staff Land Surveyor listed on BPELS website. I guess he wears a second hat as the "Examinations Manager". Why do I feel like the guy in, I think it was "I love Lucy" where they get busted in a small town and the sheriff also wears the hat of the mayor, the tax collector etc. etc.

What happened to the thread that had the running list of states that have relesed results?

I just looked at it and it looks like WY just made the list. CA still has a chance to not be in last place, GO CA! :unitedstates: :Banane36:

I think this Ric is just an automatic machine responder to all your questions. I've seen several different questions but the same answer from Ric. Are you guys sure RIC is not for Radon Information Center.

The P.E. license is not issued without surveying and seismic, so CA board is trying to manipulate the state exam results to cut their budget losses.
