Does anyone know when we will get the results?

I looked the past several years under FAQs and it seems consistent that we will get the results middle of next week. This is based on how the other states are getting their results compared to when we usually get ours. I asked twice and was told two things:OREGON.

It seems like Oregon, NY, Maryland and Virginia will all be the middle of next week based on the past few years. So, we all just have a few more days!I looked the past several years under FAQs and it seems consistent that we will get the results middle of next week. This is based on how the other states are getting their results compared to when we usually get ours. I asked twice and was told two things:
"Hopefully by Christmas" by a Secretary with a funny look on her face on December 1st when I was applying to take PE exam giving application materials in person without knowing if I passed FE exam...
"Early to Mid January" by a staff person who should know when she called me about an issue in early/mid December unrelated to the tests....
If you don't know about it already, you can also search for your status on the OSBEELS website (www.osbeels.org --> "Find a Licensee" at the top). My coworker's info was online a day before she received the letter for the April exam but I don't recall if I tried looking online before I received my letter.
Yeah, in the several years that I've been looking at their website, I've never seen anything change on the "What's New" Page.He told me the exam results table on the web site under the What's New tab which say the results have been received and sent to the examinees is wrong (no kidding??).
Several people I know have had problems with their exam applications due to issues with OSBEELS staff. The fact that they STILL have the wrong address and incorrect exam fees listed on their applications is unexcusable. (they moved offices in 2007)...and these are the people in charge of making sure that Engineers are qualified to perform their work. Spectacular.
I went to hand-deliver my PE exam application to the wrong address because they can't update their website with correct information.I just love how we are expected to just grin and bear it, when they are screwing up, yet we basically have to read their mind during the application process. If you mistake on one item throughout the application phase, they treat you like an idiot that can't follow their direction, and most likely will reject your application.
To be perfectly honest, I didn't make a mistake on my application, because I hand-delivered my application and fees associated with it. If I hadn't hand-delivered the application, my application approval would have either been delayed or rejected because the application documentation you receive off their website contains incorrect information; i.e. Application fee, mailing address.Guys,
It reads like a lot of complaining...
I've personally had great experience with OSBEELS - never a problem. Sure, they've got rules to follow, just like everyone else.
Waiting_wes: If you make a mistake on the application, it's your fault - not theirs. I'd agree they should be reasonable in fixing the mistake, but you can't be too upset for not following the directions.
Yahred: Regarding the "engineering experience", surely you're familiar with the EIT concept. Of course you can have engineering experience without being a PE.
Bottom line: My only complaint with OSBEELS is they still haven't figured out how to process application renewals on the website. It's been "in the works" for a while!
That's certainly a legitimate complaint. What did OSBEELS tell you when you explained the incorrect website information?the application documentation you receive off their website contains incorrect information; i.e. Application fee, mailing address.
I'm familiar with the EIT concept, but it seems that the processor of my application was not. I submitted my work history including a reference from my supervising engineer, and they said I didn't provide evidence that my work met the criteria of the ORS definition of engineering work. I then had to get a specific letter from my supervising engineer quoting the ORS engineering work section, after which they approved my exam registration. The letter contained the same information as the reference form...nothing had changed.Guys,

OK... so when you wrote "If I'm applying to take the PE exam, how can I legally have "engineering experience" without being a professional engineer?" that was a rhetorical question that you already knew the answer to?I'm familiar with the EIT concept, but it seems that the processor of my application was not. I submitted my work history including a reference from my supervising engineer, and they said I didn't provide evidence that my work met the criteria of the ORS definition of engineering work. Actually at first nothing. I left the building, and as I sat in my pickup, I had a strange 'hunch' that I had forgotten something. When I went back in, the individual at the front desk informed my that my check was not enough for the application fee. I was somewhat embarrassed and apologized, to which I was informed that they had just changed the fee amount, and hadn't updated their application form. That's certainly a legitimate complaint. What did OSBEELS tell you when you explained the incorrect website information?
