I always thought the 392 was a bit on the porky side.
Honestly, I'm more a fan of the canted valve engines, BBC and Cleveland.

If I had to take one home and drive daily ignoring fuel costs, I'd go with a 426 Max Wedge.

The Max Wedge was a total snot on the street, though. Over-cammed and over-carbed. That beast was only happy when you had your foot planted firmly in the radiator yoke.
