Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the role is responsible for the initiation, planning, delivery and closure of new product development projects - on time; to specification; to product cost; within planned budget. Responsibilities include:
- Build and lead multi-site, multi-country, cross-functional project teams.
- Develop and maintain an integrated schedule, product specification, product cost model, risk assessment, resource plan and budget
- Lead the execution of the project across the organisation including trade-off decisions; identification of risks and issues; problem solving; negotiate and ensure availability of resources.
- Leading the development team for the project: rapidly problem solve; verify correct technical decisions and judgements are being made; chair daily 'stand up' meetings in R&D
- Ensure project compliance with international standards and regulatory requirements
- Capture the requirements and manage the expectation of key stakeholders
- Conduct phase toll gate and monthly management reviews
- Use Lean tools and concepts to continual improve time to market
The Successful Applicant
Degree qualified and with a background in complex engineering & manufacturing, you will have demonstrated enthusiasm and passion for delivering complex, technical, demanding products, from concept to full production, requiring the integration of software, mechanical and electronics hardware in a timely fashion as a Project Manager. A natural problem solver with a can-do attitude, you will have exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and will develop cross functional relationships enabling you to overcome obstacles, motivate and inspire without direct authority. You will have the ability to think strategically and liaise at all levels without losing sight of the detail enabling you to sift large amounts of information and identify the critical few.
