Systems Modelling Engineer

We currently have vacancies for Systems Modelling Engineers to work across a number of Fleet Services projects, where you will be given unique exposure to programmes such as the Type 45 destroyers, the Type 26 frigates, and the Queen Elizabeth aircraft carriers.
As a Systems Modelling Engineer within Fleet Services, you will develop and utilise your engineering expertise within a highly skilled team and be given the opportunity to liaise directly with decision makers & relevant stakeholders. This is a growing area of the business and will offer the successful Systems Modelling Engineer a unique opportunity to develop within the team.
We currently have vacancies for a range of levels within the team, so whether you are newly qualified with a small amount of experience within your field, or if you are a highly experienced, chartered engineer, you will be able to find your perfect role.
Your main responsibilities as a Systems Engineer will involve:
Providing hands on Modelling & Analysis support to the Maritime Services business winning and service delivery teams
Analysing data from the business ensuring BAE Systems are utilising the best options and in turn providing suitable options to the business
Using simulation tools to create and provide options to allow decisions on business solutions. You will predominantly be working on engineering aspects but you may also be required to provide solutions to business problems
Your skills and qualifications as a Systems Modelling Engineer must include:
Qualified to Degree level, in an engineering / physics / mathematics or closely related discipline, or an equivalent level of competence
Your skills and qualifications as a Systems Modelling Engineer will ideally include:
Experience gained working with systems modelling tools such as Visio, Excel Witness, Simul8 etc
Depending on level of experience, if appropriate, professionally registered status such as Chartered Engineer (CEng) – BAE Systems will actively encourage and support applications from employees to gain registered status
Experience in creating trend analysis
