On Figures 22-1 to 22-14 in ASCE 7, do you divide the number on the contour by 100 (since countours are in percent gravity) to get the correct Ss and S1? Thanks.

The USGS site is a great help, but invest a little time and locate the latitude nd longitude of your site. The results are much more site-specific and helpful than just the zip code. Not that it will help on the exam...

In short, yes.
They are expressed as a percentage of g.

If you don't want to read those damn maps and have the zip code of whatever you're designing, I'd take a look at the java program in this link: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/research/hazmaps/design/index.php

It is a time saver!

The USGS program will go into the latitude and longitude to the nearest 1/1000th of a degree. That will get you within like 50 feet of the site. Just an FYI...
