Shallow Foundations

When solving prob. 3.13 chpt 3, Das Book , Principles of Foundation Engineering, 6th ed.

The problem is asking to find allowable load the foundation can carrry.

I'm getting qult= 28.9 kips/SF * B'xL'= 28.9/4 x (1.6) (4.2) Qall=48.6 kips and the book says 77.86......any clarification will be helpful.
