I'll try not to ask too many specific questions (which wouldn't get answered anyway, haha) but I'm trying to get a better grasp on what I might expect on the upcoming HVAC afternoon section.
Quick background on me; I've worked on the mechanical contractor side of the industry since I graduated from college (6 years) as a project engineer, working both project management and in our small design build division with my boss (licensed PE). My typical daily workload is usually more PM than engineer, but I've fulfilled all criteria to take the PE.
At this point, I'm beginning to get a little nervous about the afternoon section because I realize that I haven't had the daily hands on experience as if I worked for a consulting/engineering firm. My question is if I spend a lot of time with the Lindburg book, along with familiarization with the ASHRAE fundamentals, would I be adaquately prepared for the HVAC afternoon text despite my somewhat limited hands on experience?
Thanks in advance, and please feel free to add any other advice you might deem important!
