For problems related to isentropic compression/expansion of air, which is a better way to solve if it is not "explicitly" given that ideal gas behavior can be assumed:
1) Using gas tables
2) Using PV^k = constant, taking k= 1.4 and assuming specific heats to remain constant for ideal gases. It is easier to find temperature and pressure using this method.
The answer differs in both the methods. I am not sure if the four options in the exam will be close or distant.
Please advice.
