Hi,

I was looking into taking a review class at the local college for the PE (civil) this fall, but the PPI Passing zone is half the price. Has anyone taken it? Was it easy to use and effective?

THANK!

I'm signed up to take it (Electrical Power). Starts this week. Here's my $.02...

I'm honestly not expecting much. I don't expect it to be a full prep for the exam. I'm still planning on taking the Testmasters course in September/October. But signing up for this course gets me started with a structure in late July. I've already gone through the sample exam twice, but I need more problem solving, more problems, and more work. I really signed up for the PPI stuff to help force me to work the next 6 weeks before the Testmasters course kicks in.

I think I'll do better with an in-person course, rather than a "guided self-study" course like PPI is offering. They do have sample problems, which I want to look at, and is a big reason I signed up (though from what I've read, some of the sample problems are of marginal value).

I guess it boils down to, I'm taking the course, but I don't have all of my faith put in the Passing Zone that I would actually "pass" the exam. It was cheap enough to me (use a coupon!) to say what the heck, and take it anyway.
