Hello

heard alot about this book. i tried to study from this book for april exam but hardly found anything, except for lengthy formula n illustrations.

so confused about this one except for transmission lines part.

should i really need to study whole book or is there any section i should really not miss out :(

thank you all.

Spend more time working problems, and you will naturally find the sections and tools you need from that book to make it an effective reference for the exam. You don't have time to memorize everything.

It is a truly a textbook, focusing on showing someone all the theory behind everything as opposed to showing you how to approach PE style problems. I carried it into the exam but had it more as moral support than an actual reference. I think you mentioned you had the Wildi book. You'll get more mileage out of that.

read thru it once or so...4,5,6, 9, 10, and 11...use it as a hail mary book though

You should get the text that is written by Hadi Sadaat. The first six chapters are more student friendly, he has many examples and the answer to all of the problems are in the back of the book.

Also for fault analysis and system protection get Power System Analysis and Design written by Duncan Glover. His book is also student friendly with many good examples.
