Illinois has a 30 PDH requirement for renewing your license every two yrs, with the expection of your first renewal, which none are required. I get the pass this time, but I thought it was going to be a pain in the butt to get them. Boy was I wrong...I am taking an air monitoring course at work in Dec that is going to get me 28 of the 30 PDHs and I have been getting flyers in the mail from Professional societies about weekend seminars to get the 30 PDHs. For those who live in states that require the continuated education, what have you been doing to get your PDHs?

I just go to seminars from time to time. 30 hours in 2 years isn't much. I am an officer on a municipal and professional society by me, which counts as 2 each. A few free or cheapo seminars in the area fill out the rest. I need to renew in NH in January and have already well exceeded the requirements. Most engineers could do 30 hours in their sleep.

Florida has a 8.0 PDH requirement that is split into 4.0 PDHs in your technical area nd 4.0 PDHs specific to ethics.

I have ooodles of PDH hours racked up already between my coursework and short course workshops I have attended. The ethics-focused PDHs will be a little more difficult. You can attend one of the Board Meetings (which I will llkely complete) or you can order a video of that meeting through a number of approved vendors. I think there are also some materials you can order and do the bubble sheet thing after you read those materials.

Either way, I don't think it will be horribly onerous. :2cents:
