I have spent most of my morning on hand calculations - every now and then I find it more useful to write things out on paper before commiting those numbers electronically to paper. :true:

Well, I was using my contraband, handy-dandy NCEES Blue pencil :pencil: - because I am a glutton for punishment :tone: :tone:

I was shuffling my papers and ... whoa !!! :( By merely applying a little friction across the surface of my calc sheet - the pencil lead smeared :wtf: Give it a try - that no. 7 lead seems to be better suited for lead artwork based on the "smear" factor.

I am wondering how gingerly the NCEES personnel are handling our scantron sheets :ruh: :die:

Good point. I assume the soft lead makes for dark "bubbles" on the scantron. But smearing could be an issue to thwart the tallying process.
