We are going to be having a celebration of sorts to honor the completion of the remediation work (15+ year effort). The site was a former army ammunition plant that made explosives (TNT, DNT, etc) and also had a load-assemble-package side during WWII, Korean and Vietnam wars. Parts of the facility have already been transfered for redevelopment... a VA cemetery, Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie, landfill, and industrial parks.

Looking for name/phrase ideas to include on all the invitations, programs, etc...

Are you looking for something technical that described the work done or something more local and/or personal that will reflect the community and/or people invovled in the project or is it just a matter of coming up with something more descriptive than Operational Unit 02-151 J (Southwest) ??

Definitely the later. There were 53 contaminated sites, so we are just trying to come up with a clever name for the celebration.

An 'Explosive Completion' or 'Explosive Celebration'?

Something tells me that Fudgey may run with the first one!

Looks like the most tossed around idea so far is: From War to Peace

The program cover and inviations would be an old aerial of the plant in the background and pictures of various stages (operation, remediation, the veterans cemetary, the Prairie restoration) with words like conservation, restoration, development, serenity randomly printed

^^^ That sounds pretty cool. Especially if someone is real handy with one of the photoshop-type programs. You can really put some nice backdrops and highlight the good from the project.
