(CNN) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif insisted Wednesday that the Obama administration mischaracterizes concessions by his side in the six-month nuclear deal with Iran, telling CNN in an exclusive interview that "we did not agree to dismantle anything."

Zarif told CNN Chief National Security Correspondent Jim Sciutto that terminology used by the White House to describe the agreement differed from the text agreed to by Iran and the other countries in the talks -- the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany.

I hate to say this, but the Iranians have been remarkably consistent with this message since the day the news on the nuke deal broke. Is the Obama administration going to be caught in another lie?

Uh, if this is a surprise to anyone, you weren't paying attention. Everybody on the planet except those in the White House were saying that the "landmark deal" with the Iranians didn't make them give up anything. Sounds a lot like the Syrian chemical weapons "deal." Basically, the deal was "you guys lay low for a little while and sign this blank piece of paper so my constituents will STFU."
