I am not an engineer but a computer programmer. Just as a hobby, I am interested in learning Structural engineering mainly for Reinforced Concrete Structures.
I have been asked by friends in Pakistan to give them advice as many brick homes poorly built have been destroyed due to floods. And I wish to help them design a house that is most cost effective, sturdy, durable, energy efficient and easy to build without heavy machinery.
I am here to learn from scratch and would greatly appreciate for any advice.
