It came up at lunch with my husband that my parents are still paying a mortgage. I pointed out that we were military and that they didn't buy a house until my dad was ready to retire, so I lived in 6 houses before the house they live in now. My husband only recalls living in one house growing up, but spent time in one rental while he was tiny. That's when I started counting all the apartments and houses we've lived in. I counted everything over a month and came up with eleven. My husband, including college, has six.

I know some of you are going to have numbers way higher than that.

2 houses growing up, 1 apartment after college, and the current house we're in.

Edit: I only sleep on the couch when I want to.

I'm on my 19th, as best I can count, and I've lived in this one for almost 12 years now, so it is more my "home" than any other place.

1 house, birth to 18. 2 years of dorms, three apartment in college. One townhouse after college, then Mrs. Buff and I bought our house. 8 total.

2 houses before college.

1 dorm (colllege)

4 apartments (college + summer internships)

3 apartments since college

2 houses since college

So 12.

Wow 8 and 12 seem to me recurring numbers...

4 - precollege

2 - in college

2 - since college

So 8 total

1 before college, 2 homes and an apartment after. All over the place during the college years.

hmmm...

Endwell, NY X2

Morrisville, NY

Wanakena, NY

Syracuse, NY X3

Liverpool, NY X2

Scranton, PA X3

Fayetteville, NC (X5)

20 I guess, when we move, I really hope that it's back to our house in Alabama and that we stay there. Out of those we owned one in NC and the one in AL.
