A small group of lawmakers have asked Russia's top prosecutor to investigate whether the last Soviet leader, Mikhail Gorbachev, should face treason charges over his role in the 1991 collapse of the Soviet Union.
"As a result of these criminal actions, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, a global superpower, was destroyed and ceased existing as a geopolitical reality," says the letter.

all this time and the dude still has that bird shit stain on his forehead.

I'm really starting to get concerned about Russia. What is their end game?

I was talking about their overall end game (Crimea, Ukraine, military spending, etc.). Not just concerning this guy.

I know. I was citing Drago anyway.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure they see our wonderful head man in charge as nothing more than a wind bad (so do I) and probably figure we are no threat right now. They probably wouldn't be doing this with a republican US pres. Sad thing is by the time we do get a republican in office, it won't matter any more. They will be too powerful again.

Well, our troop presence in the middle east is becoming lower and the size of our forces over all is being pushed towards lower numbers. We are no longer strategically placed to keep them in check, nor does our current leadership wish to take forceful action when they have stepped over their boundaries. I don't think it's too far fetched to think we may see the USSR become whole again in our lifetime, I also think it is feasible that our generation will see another World War.

In addition to the stuff you mentioned they are increasing spending in the middle east as well.

After 25 years of working in a sprawling Soviet-built factory — a vestige of a war and occupation long extinguished — they suddenly spotted a new shipment of gleaming Russian equipment arriving last fall on an 18-wheeler.

The factory was abuzz. The Russians were back.

You couldn't be more right. It's all because the policies of the dems

EDIT: they cut spending which means a military cutdown. same thing happened right before 9/11. Clinton cut down the military, we got caught with our pants down.

I think Hank Williams Junior said it best and I quote" I don't care what anybody says I don't trust old Gorbachev I don't know who turned him on but it's time to turn him off"

Unfortunately, peoples memories fail them... in "Joe Plumber's" world, if you need to cut spending to get out of debt, while it'd be nice to cut out all the insurance bills you have rather than the cable bill, it's the cable bill that gets cut. In government spending, it's the insurance bills that don't get paid, because the cable is what keeps citizens happy and voting for you.

Uhhhh, last I checked both parties were complicit in forcing spending cuts on the military. Remember, the sequester was set up as an incentive to get the parties to agree to a budget. When BOTH parties failed to agree to a budget, BAM--sequester.
