About Our Client
The right candidate will play a key role of handling the operational and service aspects of the organisation's existing facility, in addition to all the project management requirements for their new project. Working as a part of a diverse, and multi-cultural team of 4 in-house members, you will be managing 20 out-sourced staff while directly reporting to the Director.
Job Description
The key responsibilities of this role will be:
- Primarily, to lead, manage and supervise daily operational issues and help ensure the smooth running of the Operations and Services department
- Play a key role in responding to internal requests, problems and issues by coordinating with staff, contractors, and the Accounting/Finance department
- Liaise effectively with main land developers, architectural, engineering and , construction firms among other government entities in relation to the new project
- Ensure that all services meet the organisation's expectations, and that the quality of service is always aligned with organisational objectives
- Act as a leading representative for the new project in Abu Dhabi, by hiring project firms and/or personnel as required, and sign off on project plans, layouts, invoices, and budgets
- Prepare an annual Departmental and Project budget; Track payments, analyse trends and, assess current and future needs effectively to ensure that the budget is not exceeded
- Advise Director on problems and issues, including the expenditure and budget so that informed decisions may be taken
The Successful Applicant
Person requirements:
- Fully qualified professional with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical)
- 7 years of experience in building and facilities management and, 5 years of experience in the project management and construction industry
- Fluent in Arabic
- A quick-thinker, who is able to prioritise and juggle project management and operations at the same time
- An assertive and diplomatic leader, with a solid knowledge in contract management, capital budgeting, and operations management
- Excellent command of MS Office, and basic knowledge of Auto CAD preferred
